West Virginia Association for Gifted and Talented
is a non-profit organization of parents and educators who share a recognition of the need to foster the growth and development of gifted and talented individuals in our state.
Our goal is to ensure that every child in West Virginia has an opportunity to be educated fully and commensurate with his/her ability. WVAGT is the ONLY organization in West Virginia that advocates for gifted education.
The purpose of WVAGT is to support students with exceptional intellectual abilities and potential for achievement by providing information and resources for parents and teachers in the field of gifted education. Through this service, the unique needs of gifted students are identified, and the necessity of specialized instruction to meet those needs is recognized as a right, rather than a privilege.
